A Highly Qualified Sheriff With The Experience We Need

Thank you for visiting my campaign website.  We have tried to provide enough information for you to get a better idea of who I am and what I have done to make Henry County a better, safer place for our families during my first term as your Sheriff.  Come to any of my events to speak with me in person and hopefully support me with your vote in the 2012 elections.

This introduction will give you a more informed understanding of some of the duties for the Office of Sheriff before you look more closely into what I have done to earn your support in 2012. 

As an elected constitutional officer and the Chief Law Enforcement Officer for Henry County my primary focus is the safety and well being of our citizens.  I do this with over 300 employees working around the clock to maintain two adult detention facilities with 908 beds, serve over 32,000 civil papers and nearly 7,000 warrants a year, and provide security for 14 courtrooms in four separate buildings.  We fight serious crimes by assigning Deputies to Federal Law Enforcement Task Forces and Drug Interdiction Units as well as with the Flint Circuit Drug Task Force.  Additionally, we provide School Resource Officers (SRO) to the Henry County Board of Education and document, track and, when necessary, prosecute sex offenders.  We also provide in-school educational programs to over 6,200 students monthly and adult programs on a continuous basis.  We are an active involved part of our community.
